For the exhibition “Designblok Cosmos – Intergalactic Beauty of Czech Design” DECHEM studio was invited to design an object to celebrate innovative Czech glass design and production.

Their contribution was the light object “Astronomic Supercluster” consisting of several handblown glass elements from uranium glass. Each element is shaped as a quadrant, a highly challenging shape to blow by hand. It is then assembled into a cluster of stacking semicircles and lit from the inside.

Planned as a travelling exhibition, it made its first appearance during the designblok festival 2023 in Prague and next go to Milan in 2024.
