Fragment Line is the second collection that DECHEM has created for BOMMA, featuring the distinctive material Fragmentglass. Originally developed by DECHEM, Fragmentglass repurposes coloured residual glass, giving it a second, noble life by remelting it into refined glass panels. The collaboration between DECHEM and BOMMA stems from a shared vision: to creatively reuse production glass waste while unlocking the aesthetic potential of this innovative material. Under DECHEM’s curatorial guidance, BOMMA presents both the Fragments and Fragment Line collections, crafted from its own reclaimed glass.
Beyond its focus on material innovation, Fragment Line redefines the boundaries between technical lighting performance and visual artistry. Its design offers versatile lighting options: the light can be directed onto the shading glass plates for a soft, ambient diffusion, or downward for efficient task lighting.
