The collection was inspired by the basic shapes circle, triangle, rectangle and oval. The forms are what you see at first sight and so the collection’s name is inspired by the term phenomenon meaning “appearance” in Greek. In Plato’s idealist philosophy, the phenomena is transient, bears likeness to the eternal, perfect forms and thus it is not truly real. This seems very suitable for a collection made in a material that is as difficult yet versatile, as strong yet fragile as glass is. The hand-blown glass pendant lights and floor lamps with different colour gradations are produced by the Czech glass factory Bomma.
