With a new showroom DECHEM created a colourful world of glass in Prague‘s 7th district. The space offers the chance to see and puchase the studio‘s classics as well as its unique and experimental pieces.
When entering the showroom a large shelf leaps out with vases and objects in countless shapes and colours. Beside the popular Bandaska Vase in its six shapes and by now 14 colour versions, visitors can now also discover some of DECHEM’s rare editions – for example, Roura Vase in uranium glass or the colourful Glass Landscape. Moreover a regularily changing selection of novelties and small installations make their first appearance in the floor to ceiling windows.
The studio’s full range – vases, luminaires and objects – is displayed across the second part of the showroom: Following the stairs to the lower level, the visitors awaits a cosy interior setting with velvet curtains and different seating areas. Various islands present DECHEM’s lighting collections, furniture pieces, little treasures, one-off pieces and still evolving prototypes.
It quickly becomes clear that this space is more than a store; it also provides room for get-togethers and views into the creative process. It is a place where new projects are in the air and old ones serve as a constant source of inspiration.
